A great place for travelers

Wonderful, friendly staff. A hostel where you can meet lots of travelers! The breakfast (2JOD) is very nutritious and filling.

Sometimes it wasn't the cleanest, but to be expected from a busy, cheap hostel.

A great choice when you travel on a budget.

It is an excellent choice when you travel on a budget. The location is great, in Downtown, within walking distance from the Citadel, the Roman Theatre, the fruit and spices market, the Jordan Museum. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, and a wonderful bookshop with good English books exactly at the entrance. There is soap in the bathroom, simply bring your towel. The water is hot for showers because the sun heats it - how lovely to have it in a green way! The staff are extremely polite and helpful. They help you out to find the tourist sights on a map, to find good transport. They also offer trips out of Amman - well-organised and inexpensive trips. I went to Jerash, Aljoun and Umm Qais by a private taxi, with AC and plenty of time to visit these places, for 20 JD (26 euro)--one day trip. You can find filtered water in the kitchen. JETT Bus Station is near (by taxi or shared white taxi), too.

There is nothing to dislike. The price reflects a safe accommodation, with all the basic needs being taken care of.

I can rate the hotel on several levels, the service: the staff there are wonderful and helpful. General vibes : There you can meet new friends from different countries every day. The standard of the hotel according to its prices and budget: it is considered acceptable, although there are some things that need urgent maintenance. over all it is recommend within your lower budget..

What was the highlight of Farah Hotel

The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. When I couldn't operate the heater in my room they took pains to make sure that it was working properly and that I knew how to use it. It is a very bare bones hotel- more like a hostel in some respects- but my room was clean, the bed was firm and comfortable, and the location is great for walking around. The breakfast is quite simple (pita, hummus, hard boiled egg, some tomato, instant coffee) but it did the trick and I was excited when they had falafel! For those who like a different style of breakfast there are cafés within a short walking distance. There are also tons of shops and delicious restaurants just outside the hotel. The Roman Theatre is about a 10 minute walk. There are steps in front of the hotel- not a lot, but important to know for those with limited mobility or lots of suitcases- but an elevator inside the hotel.

Location great - 2 minutes abducting are on the main downtown road -!the 3 guys who run this landscapes English and are VERY helpful - tours are reasonably priced so if you are not at this hotel and want a tour you must call in to compare their prices with what you have been quoted. If you looking at this review but have still not arrived in Jordan you must consider buying the Jordan pass before you arrive in Jordan - this will pay for itself for the Visa and entrance into Petra and you can use to get into other sites and attractions

The hotel is in the middle of downtown so it has great access to all the touristic sights. Walking, it's only minutes away to the rainbow street. Stafff are super friendly. The best thing about it is that they organize their own trips and tours and it's good value!
